Cobb's Kentucky Battery (Middle Tennessee) of the Kentucky Cavalry
Brigade brings forth it's two-mule team big-wheel gun. This was
Cobb's first official appearance as a member of the KCB.

After the guns preceded them to the field the cavalrymen of the
Kentucky Cavalry Brigade move forward, proudly carrying the new
national colors which had been presented earlier in the morning.

before drill on Saturday. The men of the Kentucky Cavalry Brigade
would be riding with Capt. Glaza's men, consisting mostly of the 6th
Kentucky Cavalry, later in the day.

Sgt. Dan Lykins of the 35th Texas Artillery uses somewhat more
contemporary means to move his full-scale mountain howitzer into position
for the coming battle. Sgt. Lykin's unit would anchor the Kentucky
Cavalry Brigade's static artillery for the day.
