Day 1: Friday, June 20
The troops of The Kentucky Cavalry Brigade begin to arrive on the field at Georgetown. Here we see the unique lead vehicle of The Posse, leaving no doubt as to just who this group is.

Day 1: Friday, June 20
On Friday evenings there is a standing meeting of the Kentucky Cavalry Brigade's commanding officers and brigade staff. At this meeting a toast with fine Kentucky bourbon is made to mark the gathering of the brigade, followed by the enjoyment of cigars made with Kentucky tobacco.

As the brigade meeting gets under way we see Col. R. Roy Robinson (left) in a more relaxed posture, as a member of Cobb's Kentucky Battery (Middle Tennessee) stands by.

Day 1: Friday, June 20
As the meeting progresses Capt. Jim W. Allen (Puddin'), the Kentucky Cavalry Brigade adjutant and commanding officer of the 8th TN Cavalry, works through the meeting agenda. Col. Robinson stands with his back to the camera.

Day 1: Friday, June 20
Lt. Steve Castle of the 10th Kentucky Cavalry takes the minutes as the officer's meeting of the Kentucky Cavalry Brigade progresses into the night. While Lt. Castle works by the light of his lantern the smoke from the campfire envelopes his table. Note the bottle of Knob Creek Kentucky bourbon and the shot glass at the corner of the table. Knob Creek is a premium, small-batch bourbon of the highest quality. It was used to make the toast at the opening of the meeting.

Day 1: Friday, June 20
As the meeting of the Kentucky Cavalry Brigade officers continues Capt. Anthony Wells of The Posse (standing, in black vest); Col. R. Roy Robinson; Capt. Keith Karcher, brigade chief of artillery and of the Bluegrass Mountain Artillery (seated in the tan hat); and others look on.

Day 2 Saturday, June 21
As the sun continues to climb the Saturday morning sky the men of the Kentucky Cavalry Brigade begin to mount their horses, harness their mules, and limber their guns in preparation for drill.

Day 2 Saturday, June 21
Gen. John Hunt Morgan (Bill Nordan) of the Morgan's Raid event makes the official presentation of the Kentucky Cavalry Brigade's national colors. The flag is a Confederate First National with the stars in the field in the shape of a cross. General Morgan has his back to the camera. Adjutant Pudden Allen takes the colors astride his horse.

Day 2 Saturday, June 21
Col. Robinson, right, confers with General Morgan after the flag presentation ceremony.

More to Come!
